Game Facebook: The Sims Social (mengenang masa kejayaan)




The Sims Social is a Facebook videogame developed by Playfish and EA, taking place in a fictional town called Littlehaven. A mobile application for smartphones is also in development as a companion app to the Facebook version, which will be available on the current generation of smartphones. The game also features remakes of real life famous people such as Lady Sim-Sim (Lady Gaga), Elvis Plumbob (Elvis Presley), and Sims Cara (Sin Cara).

Skills

Like other games in The Sims series, Sims can develop skills. There are currently six skills: art, cooking, music, writing, athletic, driving, and various project skill items which are tied with specific themed collections. Developing higher level skill levels allow Sims to obtain new objects. Sims develop skills when the player interacts with an art object (such as easel or computer when level 30), a music object (such as a guitar or keyboard when level 10), a cooking object (such as a microwave, a coffee maker when level 10, or a stove when level 15), or a writing object (such as a computer or typewriter when level 10). At times, skills are a part of quests given to the player for their Sim to achieve.

Careers

Careers in the The Sims Social are, however, much different than those of previous Sim games. Sims can aspire to three different career paths: Rocker, Chef, and Artist. Each career consists of 5 levels each with three sub-levels. To advance in their given career players are required to submit appointments for various jobs. After the given appointment time the player can send their Sim to work and earn Simoleons and Career Points. Career Points help further careers leading to promotions. After each promotion players receive a special object only acquirable through a career. Upon completion of an entire career track, players can select a new career track at the cost of forgoing all past career history.

Traits

There are currently 12 traits for Sims in The Sims Social and only can be purchased with Lifetime Points. All traits feature between three to five levels; each needing to be bought at a higher price of Lifetime Points than the last one. The traits are slob, steel bladder, neat, super mechanic, insane, ogre, ninja, great kisser, night owl, expert cook, music maestro, and art virtuoso. When the player upgrades the level of a trait, the trait becomes more prominent in the Sim's lifestyle. The most visible example of this is in the ninja trait. When a Sim has the level one ninja trait, the Sim walks faster. However, when a Sim has the level five ninja trait, they can teleport from place to place. The ninja trait is useful if the player has a larger house. In the insane trait, Sims can reduce the need of being social and can talk with plants without visiting people (in previous versions, talking to plants also eliminated the energy needed to fulfill Social). For example, a level 4 insane trait lets the sim talk to themselves to fulfill fun and social need without eliminating energy. Certain career traits, like art virtuoso, provide the benefit of earning more Simoleons while using the respective skill object. However, these traits can only be unlocked by reaching specific career levels.

Needs and Energy

In The Sims Social, Sims have needs, just as with other games in The Sims series. However, unlike other games in the series, Sims cannot die. There are six needs: social, fun, hunger, hygiene, bladder, and sleep. When all of the needs are fulfilled, the player's Sim will become inspired. Inspired Sims earn more Simoleons when performing skill tasks. Sims with a bad mood will not follow the directions of the player. Instead, they will fulfill their own needs by autonomy. All mood meters cycle from deep green (good) to lighter green, yellow, orange, red, and finally gray. All needs can be improved from the Sim's home. Another feature located right beside the needs is the fun meter. This can variate largely depending on the Sim's personality. For example, a Sim with an athletic personality will not find playing computer and arcade games as enjoyable as a Sim with a geek personality. Sims will take care of themselves using autonomy. If left to their own devices, Sims will perform actions that will help out the lowest meter, provided they have an appropriate object nearby. This cannot go on extended periods of time, as eventually the game pauses and tells the player "Your Sim Needs You!", or to keep playing the game.

SimCity Social is an online social game for the Facebook social network where users create their own city and interact with cities of their Facebook friends. The game was developed by Maxis and Playfish and published by Electronic Arts. The game was announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012, during EA's press conference on 4 June 2012, and released on June 25, 2012.

Objective

Like its forebear, SimCity, the objective is to design and build a city without specific goals although in SimCity Social, optional goals are introduced in the form of quests

Game Play

This is a resource based game. Players must collect various resources which are then consumed to develop or maintain the city. Development is performed by clicking directly on city buildings or surrounding undeveloped land, accessing a menu where resources can be purchased or manipulated (and some resources temporarily stored) or through a series of online dialogues that form quests. Some resources replenish over time while other resources are obtained for direct actions with buildings, visiting neighbors or requesting resources from them, or can be purchased with credit card or PayPal from the developer's online store.

Additional themed quests that are only available for a limited amount of time, such as a week or two, regularly appear. Completion of these quests unlock exclusive buildings not available at any other time. With new quests, new buildings and new collectibles are introduced.

Resources

Energy is a resource needed for many actions. It recovers at the rate of one energy every three minutes. It can be purchased as batteries which can be used to replenish energy later in the game. Energy can also be gifted by other players (it does not reduce a donor's own energy resources), and can be earned by visiting neighboring cities and performing actions. Energy is fully replenished when a player reaches the next level of experience.

Diamonds are also earned on certain quests and every time the player (as mayor) increases a level of experience. Diamonds are required to purchase premium content, but can also be used to skip quests, collectible requirements, and wait time.

Simoleons are the in-game currency. They are accumulated mainly by interacting with businesses, but also from farms and student jobs.
Materials are used to build and upgrade many structures. They are accumulated by interacting with factories or sending trains from the station.
Fame develops as the player interacts with neighboring territories. Fame can be used for a variety of special purchases.
Experience (XP) appears as turquoise stars and builds a player's level. When experience reaches 100%, there is a reward of simoleons, one diamond, and full energy replenishment.

Collectibles are items that are released by interacting with structures. These are used in developing structures after they have been bought or completing quests. Many collectibles are connected specifically with the type of building they can be released from, such as ticket stubs from attractions or x-ray plates from hospitals.

Population increases unlock specific quests or buildings. It also increases the level of the mayor's house.

Neighbors (other players which are befriended through Facebook) can also staff your structures when necessary, for instance facilities and farms both need a specific complement of avatars from SimCity Social friends to be fully operational. Interaction with neighbors' buildings also provide specific "friend/foe" collectibles and a more developed relationship (either positively or negatively) increases the likelihood of their appearance.

Pet Society, dunia kecil mungil yang diciptakan oleh playfish, perusahaan permainan sosial didirikan oleh secara kebetulan dan veteran permainan aktif. Pet Society memiliki kelebihan tersendiri yaitu:Pet Society memiliki gambar yang indah (dengan teknologi Ajax), karena masih dalam platform facebook maka Anda juga bisa berinteraksi dengan Pet-pet milik teman Anda, dan begitu juga teman Anda bisa berinteraksi dengan Pet Anda. Anda juga bisa saling bertukar gift dengan teman Anda, merias kamar Anda, nongkrong di kafe, atau mengunjungi tempat-tempat lain di kota.

Setelah kita mengunjungi pet society,kita akan memberikan nama,style pet sesuai selera masing2.Dalam Game Pet Society ini ada 3 poin yang harus diperhatikan yaitu:

Health (Kesehatan) => Bar Merah di kanan layar
Happiness (kegembiraan / kebahagiaan) => Bar Hijau di kanan layar
Hygiene (Kebersihan) => Bar Biru di kanan layar

Cara jaganya gimana??
Untuk menaikan health pet Anda, anda bisa memberikan pet Anda makanan. Beli saja makanan di shop. Terkadang Pet Anda akan meminta makanan tertentu dengan cara menunjukan makanan tersebut di atas kepalanya. Untuk memberikan makanan untuk Pet, cukup tarik makanan dari Chest ke dalam rumah Anda, maka jika Pet Anda lapar mereka akan mengejar dan menghajar makanan tersebut.

Untuk membuat pet Anda bahagia adalah sangat mudah. Anda bisa menggunakan brush dari chest, ataupun tangan Anda (lambang tangan, tanpa memegang item) lalu elus-eluslah pet Anda dengan cara mengklik dan drag pet tubuh pet Anda. Pet Anda akan meningkat level happinessnya dan bahkan terkadang mereka juga akan memberikan Anda Coin. Anda juga bisa bermain permainan dengan mereka untuk membuat mereka bahagia. Mengajak mereka shopping atau mendekorasi rumah Anda juga akan meningkatkan kebahagian mereka.

Untuk meningkatkan level Hygiene Pet Anda, Anda bisa menggunakan soap (sabun) yang ada di dalam chest. Gunakan soap sama seperti saat anda menggunakan brush atau tangan Anda untuk meningkatkan happiness pet Anda.

Nah,setiap hari kita login kita akan diberikan sebuah message bernama "lottery". koin yang diberikan berkisar antara 50-500 .Lumayan kan

Tidak,, karena pet society merupakan game sosial,maka cara untuk mendapatkan Koin adalah dengan mengunjungi rumah teman sebanyak mungkin.tapi perlu diperhatikan,mengunjungi rumah teman anda akan mendapatkan koin hanya pada kunjungan pertama,pada kunjungan berikutnya tidak akan diberikan koin.Time akan direset pada jam 7WIB.
teman ke 1-49 = 20 koin + 5 paw point/teman
teman ke 50-74 = 10 koin + 5 paw point/teman
teman ke 75-seterusnya = 5 koin + 5 paw point/teman

Saat mengunjungi teman,kalo gw boleh kasih saran,pilih HUG aja karena lebih cepat =D =D =D

Selain mengunjungi rumah teman,bisa juga mengikuti race.
juara 1 = 30 coin dan 20 paw
juara 2 = 0 coin dan 10 paw
juara 3 = 0 coin dan 5 paw

cara lain:

jalan-jalan keluar dan lewati pohon-pohon biasanya terdapat koin-koin (kalau rajin silakan saja), tapi sayangnya cuma bernilai kecil<tidak begitu disarankan>

Kunjungi pet teman yang tidak diurus dan mandikan, beri makan, serta hibur agar mendapatkan point, silakan keluar dari pet society (misalnya ke home) dan masuk lagi kembali ke pet society untuk mengunjungi kembali pet teman yang tadi dikunjungi(berulang kali). Biarpun pet teman sudah kamu urus(mandi, hibur, dan beri makan) tetapi server pet society hanya mencatat log dari sang pemilik pet dan status barnya tidak akan berubah (bila lapar tetap lapar).

Electronic Arts (EA) berencana menutup tiga game yang dipublikasikan di Facebook. Ketiga game itu adalah Sim City Social, The Sims Social, dan Pet Society, yang secara resmi ditutup pada bulan Juni mendatang.

Dilansir dari situs resminya, Selasa (16/4/2013), EA mengumumkan rencana untuk menutup ketiga game tersebut tepatnya pada 14 Juni. Bersamaan dengan rencana menghapus ketiga game di Facebook, EA juga akan menghadirkan sejumlah game populer lain seperti Bejeweld Blitz, Solitaire Blitz, dan Plants vs Zombies Adventures di Facebook.

Pernyataan mengenai rencana penutupan ketiga game tersebut juga diperoleh dari forum Playfish dan Facebook Fan Pages. Setidaknya ada lebih dari sejuta pemilik akun Facebook sudah memainkan ketiga game tersebut yang sudah lebih dahulu tenar sebagai game komputer.

Sim City Social diumumkan tahun lalu dan dirilis pada 25 Juni tahun lalu. Game yang dikembangkan oleh Playfish dan Maxis hanya mampu bertahan selama setahun.

Sedangkan game The Sims Social pernah menjadi aplikasi nomor dua terpopuler setelah gameFarmville. Game yang dirilis pada tahun 2011 kemudian mengalami penurunan pamor pada enam tahun bulan terakhir.

Game yang dikembangkan oleh Playfish Games, Pet Society diakuisisi oleh EA seharga $300 juta pada tahun 2009. Game ini memungkinkan Anda mengkostumisasi hewan peliharaan dan berinteraksi dengan teman menggunakan akun Facebook.

Sebagai pengembang game, EA lebih dikenal dengan game genre sport. Terlihat jelas jika pengembang game asal Amerika Serikat ini mempertimbangkan posisinya sebagai perusahaan game berbasis sosial.

Kabar terbaru muncul dari produsen game kawakan EA (Electronic Arts) yang menutup beberapa game buatannya, yaitu The Sims Social, SimCity Social dan Pet Society pada Facebook.
Seperti dilansir Mashable (16/4), ketiga game tersebut ditutup karena mengalami penurunan minat yang sangat drastis. Rencananya, ketiga game tersebut akan ditutup mulai 14 Juni 2013 mendatang.
Menurut kabar, EA tidak hanya menutup The Sims Social, SimCity Social dan Pet Society saja, produsen game sebelumnya telah melakukan deaktivasi pada game di Facebook seperti Zynga dengan game Mafia Wars 2 ataupun PetVille.
Akan tetapi, pihak EA masih akan menyediakan berbagai game lain yang masih cukup populer di Facebook, di antaranya game dari PopCap seperti Bejeweled Blitz, Solitaire Blitz, dan Plants vs Zombies Adventures.

Dengan pernyataan dari situs resmi EA Games dan kedua situs diatas, ketiga game yang sempat populer di Facebook, yaitu: Pet Society, The Sims Social, dan SimCity Social akan ditutup mulai tanggal 14 Juni 2013.

Setelah ini saya akan membahas tentang ketiga game tersebut untuk mengenang masa kejayaannya. Dan karena saya juga menyukai ketiga game ini (walaupun akhir-akhir ini jarang memainkannya).
